James Maddison sends emotional message after confirmed Tottenham exit news
James Maddison has broken his silence after a major Tottenham exit development.
Maddison missed the final games of the season after suffering from a knee injury.
The midfielder still had a big impact on Tottenham winning the UEFA Europa League, with Daniel Levy granting Maddison a request in the aftermath of ending Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought.
However, the Spurs star doesn’t appear best pleased with the Tottenham Chairman after recent news.
Maddison reacts as Ange Postecoglou is sacked by Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou was dismissed by Tottenham on Friday (6 June), despite ending a 17-year trophy drought in North London.
The Australian defied all odds when he lifted the Europa League trophy with a Spurs side riddled with injuries. However, there was no coming back from his Premier League record, after Tottenham finished 17th with 38 points.

In the process, Spurs became the first team to suffer 22 Premier League defeats without being relegated. As a result, Postecoglou has been sacked, which appears to have upset Maddison.
The 28-year-old took to his personal Instagram account on Saturday (7 June) and posted a series of photos with Postecoglou, while writing, “Gaffer, where to start.
“Firstly, thank you for bringing me to this wonderful club that I now call my home. Your instant belief in me to not only sign me but make me the club’s vice captain and part of the leadership group from the get-go is something I’ll always be thankful for.
“Secondly, for the Europa League campaign that started in our stadium on gameweek one and finished perfectly with that special night in Bilbao. You led us to victory, and we’re European champions and in this club’s history books because of you and your winning mentality.
“Lastly and most importantly is how you are as a man and a person. Your unwavering self-belief and strong mindset are infectious and a massive reason in why you were the man to end this club’s 17-year drought for a trophy. A family man with great morals, and I have honestly learnt so much from you. More than you will probably ever know. All the very best. Madders.”
Spurs’ summer shake-up has just begun
Postecoglou was just the tip of the iceberg in Spurs’ summer shake-up.
First, the club announced the appointment of Vinai Venkatesham as Chief Executive Officer.
It was followed by Donna-Maria Cullen announcing her shock decision to step down as Executive Director at Tottenham, while Ryan Mason has left Spurs for his first permanent managerial position at West Brom.
A change in director details on Companies House has indicated that Matthew Collecott could also leave his position as Executive Director and Finance Director at ENIC [Matt Law]
Next, Tottenham will look to find a replacement for Postecoglou. Thomas Frank has emerged as the favourite after a strong season with Brentford, as the Bees finished 10th in the Premier League.
