James Maddison responds to Ryan Sessegnon message after Fulham win
Ryan Sessegnon bagged a late winner as Fulham beat Southampton 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Fulham academy graduate endured a largely underwhelming stint at Tottenham after joining the North Londoners in 2019, and returned to Craven Cottage last summer.
Sessegnon has scored four goals for Marco Silva’s men this season, more than he ever managed in his time with Spurs.
Meanwhile, Fulham are in contention for the European spots, whereas Tottenham sit just 16th in the Premier League.

Silva’s men claimed their 14th win of the Premier League season as they beat Southampton on the South Coast.
Sessegnon wrote on Instagram: “We needed that.”
James Maddison showed his appreciation for his former Spurs teammate as he commented with a clapping hands emoji.
Tottenham could be in for a tough afternoon on Sunday
Tottenham travel to Liverpool on Sunday knowing that Arne Slot’s men require a draw to wrap up their Premier League title.
Spurs’ Premier League season has been awful, as they have already suffered 18 defeats with five fixtures left to play, including Sunday’s clash at Anfield.

Liverpool will be keen to put on a show for their supporters and clinch top-flight glory, whereas Tottenham’s focus should have already shifted towards their Europa League semi-final tie with Bodo Glimt.
Postecoglou could look to make changes to his lineup with the European competition in mind, which could lead to a heavy defeat in Merseyside.
But while Tottenham have endured a woeful Premier League campaign, Postecoglou’s men will thrill their supporters if they win the Europa League.
Spurs should fancy their chances of beating Bodo Glimt in the semi-finals, but the final against either Manchester United or Athletic Bilbao will prove to be a bigger test.
