James Maddison reacts to confirmed Tottenham contract news
James Maddison has shared his reaction after Tottenham announced they had reached an agreement over a new long-term contract in North London.
Spurs’ season has been full of difficulties, with Ange Postecoglou facing the sack as a result.
This could be a decision which delights Maddison, with the Tottenham playmaker struggling to keep his place in the team at times this season.
However, for all of the difficulties faced by Spurs and Maddison during the current campaign, it appears as though the North London club continue to plan for the future after a new contract agreement.

Tottenham midfielder agrees new long-term contract
It has been a busy few weeks when it comes to confirmed contract agreements at Tottenham, with a host of Under-18 players, such as Malachi Hardy, signing their first professional deals at the club.
Goalkeeper Sam Archer also put pen to paper on a deal, which could lead to another shot-stopper leaving Tottenham in the summer.
In addition, George Feeney, Tye Hall, Jamel Beggs, Ronny Moncur and Miracle Adewole have all signed their first professional contracts.
And another youngster who has already made his mark on the first-team has now put pen to paper on a new long-term deal in North London.

Tottenham announced on Wednesday (2 April) that Callum Olusesi has signed a new contract with the club which will run until 2029, as they held off interest in the midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 18-year-old made his senior debut in the 3-2 UEFA Europa League victory against TSG Hoffenheim at the PreZero Arena on Thursday, 23 January, and has been named in the first-team squad 21 times.
Following the announcement, Olusesi took to his personal Instagram account (2 April) to share a picture of himself signing his contract at Tottenham, with Maddison liking the post.
Olusesi will be keen for a pre-season opportunity at Tottenham
Although he is technically still eligible to play for the Under-18s, Olusesi has established himself as part of the Under-21s at Tottenham, taking over the captain’s armband and scoring four goals in nine Premier League 2 appearances this season.
His progress has been impressive, and after signing this new deal, the youngster will no doubt be keen to show what he can do in pre-season ahead of potentially establishing himself as a first-team player next season.
