Jack Grealish can join Tottenham after new Thomas Tuchel statement

Jack Grealish promises to be the story of the summer, with Tottenham a possible answer.

The Manchester City star has been left out of the latest England squad for games against Andorra and Senegal, following his lack of game time.

However, Thomas Tuchel has told Grealish exactly what he must do if he is to regain his place after an eight-month absence.

With Tottenham keen on landing Grealish in a possible loan switch, the German’s words could indeed pave the way for his move to North London.

Grealish ready to join Tottenham

Tottenham have been alerted to the availability of Grealish after Pep Guardiola omitted him in several key matches.

Firstly, the 29-year-old was left out of Manchester City’s squad for the final day of the Premier League season.

Then, Guardiola opted to give City youngsters their debut in the FA Cup final, bringing them off the bench ahead of Grealish.

To make matters worse, the former Aston Villa man has now been left out of Guardiola’s Club World Cup squad, effectively sealing his fate.

In truth, Spurs have likely been tracking Grealish for some time, as he has dropped down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking via The Mirror (6 June) ahead of England’s match with Andorra, Tuchel told the 39-capped man exactly what he must do to get his place back.

He said: “He’s a player who needs minutes and minutes and minutes and simply does not get them for a very long time. That’s basically everything. Nothing has changed.

“I have maybe the same information as you that City are thinking of not taking him to the Club World Cup. So he needs to make himself available by playing.”

Tottenham can guide Grealish back to England place

Tuchel is the man Grealish must impress, and the German is clearly an admirer of the 29-year-old if his words are to be believed.

With Grealish set to depart the Etihad, he is not short of options, with Everton, Aston Villa, and Manchester United all mentioned.

However, it is Tottenham who should steal a march on their Premier League rivals by offering him a fresh start.

Spurs are a Champions League outfit once more and need reinforcements in wide areas if they are to fight on all fronts.

Although he had been ostracised, Grealish has a unique skill set that can aid Tottenham and help him revive his career.

His ability in tight areas to draw fouls and his intricate passing ability would work perfectly in the Lilywhites’ system.

Furthermore, Grealish can either play on the wing or he could return to a central role and play as a number 10.

Whoever takes over as Tottenham boss must push for a move for Grealish and guide him back to his best.
