Inzaghi appointment imminent as Tottenham hunt for Postecoglou replacement
Simone Inzaghi appears as though he won’t be out of a job for long, with the Tottenham-linked manager set to make an instant return to football.
Tottenham have an unholy amount of work to do this summer, with recruitment in North London set to play a huge role in deciding the success that they can find next season.
Champions League football will be returning for Spurs after they won the Europa League, and in order to build a squad capable of competing, several incomings will be needed.
However, in order to recruit new talent, the managerial uncertainty will need to be addressed as a matter of urgency, with the latest update on Inzaghi potentially pushing Spurs closer to that.

Tottenham set to miss out on Inzaghi after new development
Daniel Levy is said to have made a decision on the future of Ange Postecoglou. Now, what that decision is remains unknown, but all indications suggest that the Australian is set for the sack.
Talks have been held with Thomas Frank, while Xavi has also been mooted as the next Tottenham boss, but one thing is for sure that it won’t be Inzaghi.
Via a report from Fabrizio Romano on X (4 June), Inzaghi is set to sign a two-year deal to become the new Al Hilal manager, having previously been earmarked for the Tottenham job.
Inzaghi’s managerial career | Time spent | Win percentage | Honours |
Lazio | 2016-21 | 53.39 per cent | Coppa Italia x1, Supercoppa Italiana x2 |
Inter Milan | 2021-25 | 64.98 per cent | Serie A x1, Coppa Italia x2, Super Coppa Italiana x3, Champions League runners-up x2 |
After the sour taste of defeat in the Champions League final, Inzaghi left Inter, and many highlighted him as the ideal candidate to take over in North London, though with the manager set to bank over £21million per season in Saudi Arabia, his future is clear.
As for Spurs, their hunt for Postecoglou’s replacement will go on, and if he is to be sacked, a decision needs to be communicated soon.

Daniel Levy is taking a huge risk at Spurs
By taking this long to communicate the future of Postecoglou, Levy is throwing away valuable time that Spurs could be spending on recruitment instead.
However, with no one yet aware as to who will be in charge next season, players will not want to commit their future to the North Londoners.
This situation needs to come to a conclusion, and it needs to happen soon.
