Harry Redknapp slams Man United as he predicts score v Tottenham
Manchester United are enduring a miserable season and sit just one place above Tottenham in the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim has not improved the Red Devils’ fortunes since leaving Sporting to take over in November after Erik ten Hag was sacked.
The Old Trafford outfit have won just three of their last ten league matches under the Portuguese boss.
The 20-time Premier League winners are just two points ahead of Spurs and could be overhauled when the sides face each other on Sunday (16 February).
Redknapp blasts Manchester United in Spurs prediction
Former Lilywhites boss Harry Redknapp believes that the match will finish 2-2 and could be the “match of the weekend” but was critical of the Red Devils.
Speaking to Bet Victor ahead of the contest (14 February), he said: “This tie always has goals in it and the way both these sides are playing now, it’s anyone’s guess what the scoreline will be. Their defences are leaking goals left, right, and centre.
“Manchester United were very fortunate to get the win against Leicester in the FA Cup. That Harry Maguire equaliser gave us all a taste of the pre-VAR days!
“United just aren’t getting into gear. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got high hopes for Ruben Amorim, but his new system is going to take some time to bed-in with the players.”
Tottenham v Manchester United is too close to call
The clash between the two sides is too close to call given the dire form that both have been in coming into the match.
Spurs won 3-0 the last time the teams met in the league in September but the Carabao Cup quarter-final clash in November was a much closer affair as Ange Postecoglou’s side ran out 4-3 winners.
However, the Lilywhites’ injury issues have gotten worse since that contest with the likes of Gugliemo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke set to miss the action.
The result could be crucial for Postecoglou given the fact that his side exiting both domestic cups in the same week with losses to Liverpool and Aston Villa.

If the Australian does not get a positive result against an equally poor side, he could find himself under even bigger pressure than he is currently under.
Meanwhile, for Amorim, it is far too soon for him to be sacked having not been given the time or financial backing to properly implement his system but it is still an important clash for his side.
Regardless of their form before he came to the club, a team of United’s stature sitting in 13th place in the league table is unacceptable, as is Spurs’ current position just behind them.
