Harry Kane’s two-word message to Son Heung-min revealed after Europa League win
Tottenham are on cloud nine after ending their trophy drought with a 1-0 Europa League final win against Manchester United.
Brennan Johnson’s goal in the 42nd minute proved to be enough for the Lilywhites to put some things right in what has been a disastrous season.
After all Son Heung-min has done during his time with Spurs, seeing him lift the trophy was an emotional moment for many supporters.
Harry Kane also winning his first trophy this season, having lifted the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich, feels fitting.

Kane sends Son message after Tottenham win
As captain, it was Son who walked over to his side with the Europa League trophy before lifting the silverware high into the sky.
There is no denying how much the South Korean has done during his time in North London, but this season he has certainly not been to the required levels.
Son has come under criticism from supporters on several occasions for some of his performances this term, with accusations of going missing in games.
Although the 32-year-old has 17 goal contributions, by his standards, that is poor and given how bad things at Tottenham have been on the pitch, he is someone who was expected to step up.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 30 | 7 | 10 |
2023/24 | 35 | 17 | 10 |
2022/23 | 36 | 10 | 6 |
Nevertheless, after the Europa League victory, it was clear to see just how much it meant to Son and many of the Spurs contingent will have been pleased to see him get a reward.
Former teammate Kane was also pleased for his friend and Tottenham, as he commented on Son’s celebratory Instagram post to say: “Congratulations brother”, accompanied by a heart and a trophy emoji.
Tottenham have big choices to make
Winning a trophy is massive for Tottenham and it was clear to see how much it meant to those in the stands and on the pitch.
However, it cannot completely erase how disastrous the campaign has been for Spurs and sitting 17th in the Premier League is nowhere near acceptable.
Daniel Levy now has a big call to make, to choose whether he is going to stand by Postecoglou or still make a change at the helm in preparation for next season.
The Australian manager has not shown enough ability on a regular basis, often being accused of using excuses to cover up his failures.
That being said, winning a trophy was something the boss promised and he has delivered that and Champions League football, which is a big deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
