Harry Kane ‘to consider shock Tottenham return’ after Bayern Munich development
Tottenham fans are longing for a long-term reunion with striker Harry Kane after the team has struggled in the Premier League this season.
The England captain has had a successful start to the Bundesliga, becoming Bayern Munich’s top scorer for two consecutive seasons and finally getting his hands on a trophy at the end of this season.
The 31-year-old is set to reunite with fans in August with a pre-season clash between Tottenham and Bayern Munich in the Telekom Cup, but fans hope for a longer return.
Tottenham have struggled this season. Despite reaching the Europa League final (21 May) they are predicted to finish between 14 and17th in the Premier League.
Striker Dominic Solanke has been unable to step into the void left by Kane, after injury troubles have kept him out of being a success.

Kane’s record-breaking return on the cards?
Kane could look to return to the Premier League as he remains a top contender to break Alan Shearer’s goal record.
Mohamed Salah is the only current league player in the top ten, but the record is more achievable for Kane and could inspire a return to the Premier League.
Player’s name | Premier League goals |
Alan Shearer | 260 |
Harry Kane | 213 |
Wayne Rooney | 208 |
Andy Cole | 187 |
Mohamed Salah | 185 |
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, via Prime Casino, Terry Sheringham said: “Yeah, I think he would consider coming back to Tottenham, and he would think about it. He’s had two full seasons in Germany.
“He’s won the league this season, but I think he’ll want at least one more year at Bayern Munich while he’s still at his peak.”
Kane still speaks fondly of his former club, after hinting he would be watching the Europa League final closely.
Speaking to SkySports (19 May) he said: “I still have a lot of friends there in the players and the staff, I know how much it would mean to them, how much it would mean to the fans. I’ll be keeping an eye on it for sure”.

Tottenham awaits a decisive few weeks
The Europa League final (21 May) will be a pivotal moment in Tottenham’s next steps, as manager Ange Postecoglou’s future hangs in the balance.
A successful victory and the attractiveness of Champions League football, could inspire moves for top-performing players.
Highly sought-after Ipswich striker Liam Delap could potentially swap a move to Manchester United for Spurs, in an attempt to secure European football.
Striker Vikto Gyökeres has also emerged as a target for the North London side as they look to invest into next season’s campaign.
A painful defeat could cause flight of other players, following a similar path to Kane looking to fulfil aspirations of lifting a trophy.
The Europa League final is likely to have a major effect on the next steps for the team, particularly securing a successful striker to help the club move forward.
