Harry Kane sent one-word message by Tottenham star amid Bayern celebration scenes

Harry Kane was finally able to celebrate lifting a trophy with Bayern Munich and the former Tottenham ace has been celebrated for his achievement.

The England captain had long dreamt of this moment, experiencing numerous near misses throughout his career with both Tottenham and the Three Lions.

Even his first season following his move to Munich ended without silverware.

However, Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw against Freiburg at Europa-Stadion on Sunday (4th May) finally confirmed the inevitable and presented the 31-year-old with the accolade that has eluded him for so long.

Mathys Tel sends a message to Kane as Bayern win the Bundesliga

In the aftermath of Bayern’s title victory, Kane recorded a video of himself celebrating with his teammates, together with another ex-Spurs player in Eric Dier, and shared the video via his official Instagram (4 May).

Among the thousands of comments was one from Tel, who is on loan at Tottenham from Bayern.

Tel’s contributions for Tottenham

Tel, who won the Bundesliga in his first season with Bayern Munich, saw his gametime drastically limited following Kane’s arrival at the Allianz Arena.

However, he remained a keen admirer as the two players shared the pitch for a year and a half before Tel went in the opposite direction to North London.

Kane later praised the transfer, claiming it would be a great move for both parties as Ange Postecoglou desperately sought attacking reinforcements following an unprecedented injury crisis.

Tel wrote ‘Proud’ under Kane’s celebratory post on Instagram.

Tel could still join Tottenham permanently

Despite Tel’s undoubted potential and the initial excitement around his transfer, recent performances have called into question whether Tottenham should invest further in his development.

The 19-year-old has not made the most of the opportunities he has been given, although his inconsistency and wavering form are likely a byproduct of the mess that Tottenham find themselves in.

He was thrown straight into the mix, spending most of the first few weeks playing in his less favoured position upfront in place of the injured Dominic Solanke. However, recent weeks have seen him return to his more natural position on the left.

His confidence looks to have improved, but his output remains underwhelming, and with the future of Postecoglou still looking ominous, the club will likely have to make a decision based on his merits as they reenter negotiations with Bayern for Tel in the summer.
