Harry Kane reveals Tottenham v Manchester United plan in Europa League final

Harry Kane is looking forward to the UEFA Europa League final between Tottenham and Manchester United in Bilbao.

The England international has been in a jolly mood after helping Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga, the first major trophy of his club career.

Kane enjoyed the triumph with Eric Dier, with whom he played 309 games during their time together at Tottenham.

He is now looking forward to seeing Spurs end their 17-year-long wait to win a trophy, as they prepare to face Manchester United in the Europa League final on 21 May.

The England captain also wished Spurs all the best for the match, expressing his desire to see them lift their first trophy since 2008.

He also admitted that he was glad to share the Bundesliga triumph with long-term friend Dier.

“It was a nice moment to have with Eric [Dier]”, Kane said on Cleats Club (11 May).

“Obviously, we’ve spent a lot of time together, and to get our first trophy after so many years, I think it was a great moment and a big relief and just pure happiness from both of us, so that was a great experience to have.

“With Tottenham, I won’t be there in Bilbao. I won’t be able to go, but for sure I’ll be watching and obviously, wishing Tottenham all the best and hopefully they can win their first trophy in a while as well, and, it’ll be a great month for everyone.”

Ange Postecoglou eyeing glory with Tottenham

Tottenham have had a disastrous season, as they sit 17th in the Premier League with two games left.

Only the three relegated teams have lost more league games than the North London giants (20) this season, which is a terrible record for any Spurs manager.

That is why Postecoglou is facing the prospect of being sacked regardless of what happens in the final next week.

Nevertheless, the former Celtic manager will be determined to keep his promise of delivering a trophy in his second season in charge of the Premier League club.

Tottenham have beaten Manchester United all three times they have faced them this season and, thus, will be positive about their chances of emerging victorious in Bilbao.

While Kane will not be in attendance at San Mames, he will be watching the clash closely to see if his former employers finally end their trophy drought.

He is said to have already contacted Son Heung-min after Spurs qualified for the final.
