Gary Neville shares ‘Horrible’ Ange Postecoglou reveal after Tottenham press conferences
Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou’s 2024/25 campaign has somehow ended on a high after their huge Europa League victory on Wednesday.
It had been a gruelling campaign for many of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.
The London club is currently 17th in the Premier League and has lost 21 games in the English top-flight, a new record.
Yet, in their worst domestic campaign in recent history, Spurs still managed to win a trophy despite the growing pressure on the squad and management team.

Gary Neville sympathy for Postecoglou emerges
Postecoglou has been under immense pressure at Tottenham throughout the season.
Spurs’ Premier League form has caused the Australian to be questioned multiple times about his team’s performance, with the sack frequently mentioned.
Even after Tottenham’s Europa League victory, rumours still circulate that Postecoglou could be sacked by Spurs.

Yet, despite all of this, the manager has still turned up and answered the media’s tough questions every week.
Looking back on the season Tottenham have had, Neville has expressed his sympathy to Postecoglou over his relentless press conference schedule.
When Jamie Carragher asked the Manchester United legend who had the best press conferences on Sky Sports Premier League (23 May), he said: “It’s not Arteta, because of the tragedy behind United and Tottenham this season in terms of the football performances.
“I can’t imagine how difficult it has been doing six press conferences a week, the pre, the post, three games a week.
“Both of them [Amorim and Postecoglou] have done three press conferences a week, I know that run, it is horrible in a time when you are losing football matches.”
Postecoglou deserves an apology from the media
Once the campaign is over, many will see the 2024/25 season as a success.
At the end of the day, finishing eighth and no European football or trophies is far worse than ending 17th with a trophy and Champions League football.
Yet, throughout the last six months, the media have been on Postecoglou’s back.
The Australian has clearly had the last laugh, but he still deserves an apology from some of the journalists who made his life far more difficult, even being labelled a clown.
Hopefully, Postecoglou can now build on this success and turn around Tottenham’s poor domestic form next season while also delivering another trophy.
