Fabio Paratici twist: Daniel Levy makes ‘rich’ offer, Tottenham deadline emerges

Daniel Levy is ready to push the boat out to bring Fabio Paratici back to Tottenham this summer.

Paratici served as the sporting director of Tottenham for two years between 2021 and 2023, during which he signed several players, including Rodrigo Bentancur and Cristian Romero, from Italy.

However, the Italian transfer guru was banned from engaging in sort of football business for 30 months after an investigation into Juventus’ capital gains scandal.

Paratici, who has remained as an external consultant to Levy, is now gearing up to return to football as he awaits his ban to be lifted on 30 June.

Levy meets Paratici to discuss Spurs return

Ever since the news about Paratici’s ban being lifted emerged, Tottenham have been credited with an interest in bringing him back to North London.

It was deemed a difficult task as recently as the first week of March, with AC Milan laying the groundwork to hire him as their new sporting director.

However, in a sudden turn of events, Spurs have ‘forcefully entered the race’ once again, according to Radio Rossonera.

The broadcasters reported via their website on Thursday (27 March) that Levy has had a meeting with Paratici this week.

Meanwhile, Radio Rossonera chief Simone Cristao revealed via his X handle on 26 March that the 52-year-old executive has already received a ‘rich’ offer from Spurs.

Paratici does not have a lot of time to make a decision, as Levy has also put a ‘tight’ deadline on the offer.

Therefore, the former Juventus sporting director has a major headache, having also met Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani earlier this week.

Paratici return on cards at Tottenham

As things stand, it is very possible that Paratici returns as Tottenham’s sporting director.

Levy appears to be a man on a mission as he looks to put the disappointment of this season behind him already.

Spurs risk missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification as they sit 14th in the Premier League with nine games left to play.

Their only realistic chance of qualifying for the competition depends on their success in the UEFA Europa League.

Levy could have several players asking for exits if they fail to do so.

There is also no doubt that Ange Postecoglou’s future will also be under review at the end of the season.

Therefore, Levy could really benefit from Paratici’s presence in North London this summer.
