Fabio Paratici in Daniel Levy twist at Tottenham after AC Milan bombshell
Fabio Paratici looked destined to join AC Milan as their sporting director, but there could be a late Tottenham twist.
Paratici was forced to leave his role as Tottenham’s managing director of football in April 2023 after he was handed a 30-month ban for his involvement in a financial scandal at Juventus.
Although his reputation took a massive hit as a result, the Italian transfer guru remains a popular figure in North London, having signed the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.
Daniel Levy has remained in touch with the 52-year-old, who has been working as an external consultant for Spurs during his ban.

Paratici in Tottenham U-turn after AC Milan twist
It has been known for a while that Paratici is gearing up to return to a full-time role in football, as his ban is being lifted on 30 June.
Levy was quick to express his interest in having the Italian back in a senior role at Tottenham, with reports even stating that he made a ‘rich offer’ to the executive.
However, AC Milan were in the driving seat to hire Paratici as their new sporting director and even had an agreement in place, thus handing a blow to the Spurs chairman.
In a sudden turn of events, it has emerged that Milan have pulled out of a deal to hire the former Juventus sporting director.
Club | Role | Dates |
Sampdoria | Chief Scout | July 20024-June 2010 |
Juventus | Sporting Director | July 2010-May 2021 |
Tottenham | Sporting Director | July 2021-April 2023 |
This has opened the door for Paratici to return to London again, with Levy still keen on acquiring his services, according to TBR Football.
The news outlet reported via their website (20 April) that the chairman has already held talks with the transfer maestro over returning to Spurs.
The appointment of Vinai Venkatesham as the new CEO is not expected to affect such an arrangement, as he was made aware of Levy’s plans when he was hired.
However, there are doubts whether Tottenham are prepared to give Paratici a full-time role, with a role similar to what Luis Campos is doing at PSG cited as an option.

Johan Lange in trouble at Spurs
However, Paratici’s return could signal bad news for Johan Lange.
Lange has overseen the signings of players like Lucas Bergvall and Dominic Solanke, but could be shown the exit door if the Italian agrees to a new deal.
Venkatesham’s appointment has already raised doubts over Scott Munn’s future in North London, and the same could be the case with Lange soon.
