Every word MOTD said about Thomas Frank’s position as Tottenham manager after crushing loss vs Nottingham Forest
Thomas Frank is once again under severe pressure as Tottenham manager.
Spurs crashed to an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with fans leaving the City Ground wanting change.
Guglielmo Vicario was the villain, not for the first time this season, with his distribution and terrible judgment behind nearly all of the goals.
It was that bad that the Lewis family was even told to throw as much money at Jürgen Klopp to try to appoint the German icon in North London before Christmas.
But, where does that leave Frank?

What is going wrong at Tottenham?
Frank spoke about Ange Postecoglou before the defeat at Nottingham Forest, and he officially has fewer points than the Australian did at this stage last season.
Speaking on BBC Match of the Day 2 on 14 December, Kelly Cates kick-started the Tottenham section immediately with the main topic of Frank’s future.
“It’s another defeat for Tottenham,” she started. “They seem to have sorted out their home form, and now their away form is suffering.
“But, they seem like they’re only ever an enormous amount of pressure being put on Thomas Frank, and he seems to accept that’s the situation as Spurs manager.”

Joe Hart then responded to questions over Frank’s future in North London, being asked if he expects that every time points are dropped now.
“I think it’s just the manner of defeat that they’ve been struggling,” he said.
“When they have lost, they’ve been really poor. You look at the Arsenal game, look at the Chelsea game, here today. They’ve got quality, and they’ve got good performances, they’re doing well in Europe, they’re doing good numbers in Europe.”

“When they play well, for example, they beat Brentford with a fantastic performance, but when they lose, they lose badly.
“We all know when you’re at the top, a team like Tottenham, there can be pressure.”
Thomas Frank at Tottenham – What do the numbers say?
Tottenham are currently 11th in the Premier League, sitting on 22 points.
With only a four-point gap to the top five, things aren’t all as bad as they seem, but it’s the performances that are being delivered each week that are a huge concern.
Xavi Simons continues to flop despite big money being spent, and experienced heads simply aren’t delivering performances that help anyone.
Frank has won 10 and drawn six of his 25 games in all competitions, but those nine defeats are way too many.

Spurs still can’t compete against the big clubs, suffering embarrassing defeats to Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain already this season.
The problem Frank faces is that his players will show up occasionally, as proven by Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Manchester City earlier in the season.
If Frank wants to keep his job, he has to get his players performing consistently, but that has been a problem at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for years, not just this season.
Tottenham are unlikely to sack Frank at this moment, given the huge push to sack Postecoglou after he claimed the Europa League, but patience is wearing very thin.
This can’t go on for too much longer.
