Dominic Solanke already ruled out of Leeds United vs Tottenham as surgery latest revealed
Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying life under Thomas Frank as they sit fourth after six Premier League games.
Although their form has impressed the Spurs faithful, star striker Dominic Solanke has not featured heavily this season.
The Englishman has only played twice, amassing only 31 minutes of playing time in the league.
The 28-year-old now looks set for another spell on the touchlines following a persistent ankle injury.

Dominic Solanke expected to be out for weeks
With Solanke already ruled out for Spurs’ UEFA Champions League clash against Bodo Glimt, the striker is now set to miss their upcoming Premier League tie against Leeds United.
Thomas Frank confirmed the news in his press conference ahead of the Lilywhites’ match in Norway this evening.
He said: “Dom has got that ankle issue that’s been bothering him for a while.
“So we decided to make a minor surgery, it’s a small procedure.
“That will mean he’s not ready for this match [Bodo Glimt], and for Leeds this weekend, he’s out as well.
“We will have more news about the timeframe after the international break, but I don’t expect it to be long.”
Spurs face Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following the October international break, and they will square up against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup as they look to win their first domestic trophy since 2008.

Richarlison is stepping up to the mark in place of Dominic Solanke
Solanke scored 15 goals in 46 games last season, which has left a hole in their side.
But since the start of the season, Richarlison has made his case that he should be Spurs’ leading striker.
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 1 |
The Brazilian has achieved the most goal involvements in the league this season for Frank’s side, and has registered his team’s highest xG of 1.6
Since making his move from Everton, the 28-year-old has struggled to find consistency and has only scored more than ten goals in a league season once for the North London outfit.
But with Solanke now facing more time off the pitch, this is the perfect chance for Richarlison to prove why he should lead the line at Tottenham.
