Djed Spence mocks Arsenal star as Tottenham man cannot hide laughter

Djed Spence will be an even more popular man among Tottenham fans after his response to one question about an Arsenal forward.

Spence started the season on the outskirts of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

However, in recent months, the 24-year-old has made a huge impact when handed first-team opportunities, and he has now established himself as one of the first defenders on the teamsheet and perhaps the first-choice fullback in North London.

His form has been so impressive that Spurs fans were left furious when Thomas Tuchel left the defender out of his England squad for the March international break.

Spence recently discussed this and more in an honest interview with Rio Ferdinand, during which the Englishman couldn’t contain his laughter when asked a question about one Arsenal forward.

Spence was a guest on Rio Ferdinand Presents on Monday (24 March), where he discussed a range of topics, including who has helped his transformation behind the scenes at Tottenham.

In addition, the ex-Nottingham Forest loanee touched on his ambitions to play for England.

However, there was one moment during the discussion that would have left Spurs supporters particularly delighted.

Spence was asked about wingers that could beat him in a one-on-one battle, to which the Spurs man responded that he doesn’t feel there are many players out there who could take him on.

Co-host Joel Beya responded to this by saying, “What about my boy, Martinelli,” which caused Spence to burst into laughter as he struggled to continue his emotion.

This prompted Beya to say, “Come on man”.

Spence needs to push on at Tottenham

There is no doubt that Spence is doing all the right things if he wants to become a popular man at Spurs.

He is working hard on the pitch, putting in consistent performances, and now laughing when asked about players at the club’s fiercest rivals.

As a result, should he continue to push on, there is no reason why Spence won’t be a regular at Tottenham for years to come. However, he will just have to hope that his reaction to the question about Martinelli doesn’t come back to haunt him the next time the two players face off.
