Djed Spence ‘loved’ what he saw Arsenal star do recently as he hits back
Djed Spence has exploded back onto the scene at Tottenham this season, taking advantage of the horrible injury crisis.
Despite that, Spence missed out on the England squad to Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly, with places in Thomas Tuchel’s team limited.
The Arsenal youngster broke into the Three Lions first-team during the most recent international break and went on to score against Albania, but his call-up meant there was no place for Spence in the squad.
The Tottenham star has international aspirations as Spence revealed he wants to play for England, but Lewis-Skelly is someone he’s got respect for.

Djed Spence ‘loves’ what Myles Lewis-Skelly did at Arsenal
Lewis-Skelly has captured the attention of the entire footballing world this season, and his decision to mock Erling Haaland’s iconic ‘Zen’ goal celebration was certainly a factor in that.
The Manchester City star had confronted the youngster during the reverse fixture, and the Arsenal defender fired a shot back at him when he got the chance.
It was a celebration that proved to be controversial, but during an appearance on Rio Presents, Spence made it clear he enjoyed it.
He said, “I loved it, man, I was like he’s a bad boy for that. Haaland said to him, ‘Who are you?’ he scored and let him know who he was.
“Why not do that? I heard comments of ‘he’s a young kid and he hasn’t won anything,’ but why is it disrespectful? It’s just part of the game, it’s just a response, and me personally, I think that’s the perfect response.”
Djed Spence has made a name for himself this season
Lewis-Skelly isn’t the only player who has had people talking about him this season in the Premier League, as Spence has been one of the standout players in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
