Daniel Levy set to hold first Tottenham fan forum in five years, Ange Postecoglou and club captain Son Hueng-Min to feature

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will make his first fan forum appearance in over five years on Tuesday after 12 months of change and revolt, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper reported on Tuesday that head coach Ange Postecoglou and captain Heung-min Son will all take part in the 90-minute Q&A at the club’s stadium on 19 September.

Levy has not taken part in a fans’ forum since December 2017, during the reign of Mauricio Pochettino, with the club not holding the event during the unhappy tenures of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

The much-maligned chairman is set to face a host of questions from around 250 attendees, who were chosen by ballot, regarding the controversy over the past 12 months.

Levy revolt, Postecoglou joy

Levy is certainly set to face a whole host of questions in Tuesday’s fan forum after all the ongoing behind-the-scenes at the club over the past year or so, especially during Conte’s tenure.

With Spurs falling behind some of their rivals in the Premier League both in the domestic and European stage, fans certainly want answers on what’s led to such a drop and what Levy plans to do to address them.

Harry Kane’s departure will almost certainly be at the top of the agenda with plenty of Spurs fans still reeling from both the club and the player’s decision to part ways, even though it was inevitable that the England captain and record goalscorer would seek pastures new.

Also, Conte’s last few months at the club were filled with plenty of turmoil and backlash and will also be a hot topic for sure, after what was such a toxic period and arguably the worst since Pochettino departed.

The club were supposed to usher in a competitive and trophy-laden era under the Italian boss but even the former Juventus and Inter Milan manager who has worked wonders at clubs in turmoil could not navigate Spurs to success.

Many were under the impression that Levy was at fault for Conte’s failure, especially after his infamous rant after the Southampton defeat last season and the Spurs chairman will certainly field questions surrounding Conte’s unfortunate tenure.

However, the forum on Tuesday may not be all doom and gloom with Postecoglou also set to be involved and after the start he’s had as Tottenham manager, with Spurs sitting pretty in the table after five games, the Australian tactician will certainly be getting a host of delightful and optimistic glances rather than questions.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs have reached an agreement on personal terms for the permanent signing of one Croatian top talent.
