Daniel Levy ‘road running out’ at Tottenham after latest announcements
Daniel Levy has continued to come under fire at Tottenham this season, as they somehow sit 14th in the Premier League table.
The Europa League is the only thing left to play for in North London this term, although whether this will prove to be enough to save Ange Postecoglou is yet to be seen.
The owner has been criticised for his lack of financial backing in the Tottenham squad, despite the North London side having built a new stadium to boost their revenue streams.

Simon Jordan offers Levy verdict
Supporters at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season have made no secret of their disapproval of Levy’s ownership model.
There have been suggestions of outside investment at points throughout the campaign, although this has also faced backlash with accusations that the rumours were a PR stunt from the Spurs chief.
Levy has now hit back at Tottenham fans, though and claimed that he cannot spend money that isn’t there, as he aims to keep the club sustainable going forward.
Unexpectedly, this too has caused outrage from supporters who feel as though they are never going to see an ambitious Spurs side under the current ownership.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (1 April, 11:10), Simon Jordan admitted that he feels Levy is running out of excuses, saying: “The bottom line is, football fans expect ambition from their clubs.
“They expect aspiration, and if Spurs aren’t delivering it and Daniel Levy isn’t delivering it because his pursuit of sustainability and the model that he wants to work to isn’t going to give them the outcomes that they want, then they have the right to say it.
“I personally think with Daniel that his road is running out in terms of the opportunities he has to defend his position.”
Tottenham should not be subject to Levy any longer
As Levy points out, Tottenham are in a sustainable position, which is, of course, a big positive in the modern day of football.
However, as Jordan says, the constant excuses and changing the goalposts to defend his lack of investment can’t continue to go on.
Although the Lilywhites do have the opportunity to win the Europa League this season, that will not put to bed the disappointment of the rest of the campaign, and the expectation will be to push even more next season.
Postecoglou is not completely blameless in the reasons why the North London outfit has struggled this term, but when there are suggestions of moving the boss on, you have to question how effective that will be in the current climate.
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Goal Difference | Points |
29 | 10 | 4 | 15 | 12 | 34 |
There is certainly a healthy medium that can be found, but Levy cannot continue to defend his position of minimal investment and expect any manager to come in and reach the top heights.
All supporters are asking to see is ambition at their club, but that seems to be continuing to fall on deaf ears.
The time may be getting closer for the owner to make a big decision and end the relationship between the two parties.
