Daniel Levy ‘lines up offer to hire Thomas Frank’ as Postecoglou mocked
Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham is still unresolved despite his Europa League victory.
The Australian became the first Spurs manager to win a trophy since 2008 last week when he beat Manchester United to return the London club to the Champions League.
Yet, despite the heroics at Bilbao, Postecoglou may still be sacked by Tottenham.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is a potential candidate for the role at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as criticism for Spurs’ Premier League campaign continues.

Frank considered for Tottenham job as Ian Ladyman points out shocking Postecoglou statistics
Tottenham’s Premier League campaign was terrible. The London club finished the season in 17th, just one place above the relegation zone.
Therefore, after Spurs produced their worst Premier League season in their history, it is unsurprising to many why the Australian is rumoured to be sacked.
Yet, according to the Daily Mail, page 71, (30 May), Postecoglou is confused by these rumours, as he argues that Tottenham have done something “unprecedented” regarding their Europa League victory.
Journalist Ian Ladyman mocks this, arguing that Spurs’ Premier League record is unprecedented.
The London club lost 22 top division games, the most of any other non-relegated team in the 38-game season.

Wins | 11 |
Draws | 5 |
Losses | 22 |
Goals scored | 64 |
Goals against | 65 |
Points | 38 |
Final position | 17th |
On top of this, it is one more than Tottenham lost when they finished bottom of the old First Division in 1976 and the most league defeats the club have endured since 1935.
As a result, the report claims that Daniel Levy will “consider offering the job” to Brentford manager Frank in order to give the London club a fresh start.

Postecoglou deserves the 2025/26 campaign at Tottenham
While Postecoglou may have overseen a shocking Premier League campaign, it is still a successful season overall.
Tottenham have finally ended their trophy curse while the London club have now returned to the Champions League.
This is far more successful than the previous season, when Spurs finished fifth and did not win a trophy.
As a result, Postecoglou deserves another shot at the Premier League, as it would be daft for Levy to sack Tottenham’s most successful manager in almost two decades.
However, whatever happens, hopefully the situation is resolved soon, so preparations for the 2025/26 campaign can get underway.
