Daniel Levy left ‘hurt’ as major Tottenham exit bombshell emerges

Daniel Levy is an extremely unpopular figure among the Tottenham fans for the way he’s been running the club in recent years.

The 63-year-old has been affiliated with the club for almost 25 years now, having been appointed to the Spurs board back in 2020.

This happened after ENIC initiated the purchase of a 27 per cent stake in the club from Alan Sugar.

However, things have been far from rosy since then for both Levy and ENIC.

Tottenham fans’ protests against Daniel Levy are hurting him

BBC reported on 14 February that Levy is being “hurt” by the protests against him by fans at games both at home as well away.

Another sit-down protest called Change for Tottenham (CFT) is planned against Levy before Sunday’s match against Manchester United.

Despite the protests “hurting” him, he has chosen to sit through them rather than hide away from them.

In terms of the businessman parting ways with the club, it’s understood that he will step aside when he feels that it is the right move for the North London outfit.

With talks of a takeover in the background, every option is understood to be on the table with regard to his leaving.

Sources close to the Essex-born chief have admitted that he’s also known to be a bad communicator behind the scenes.

Daniel Levy and ENIC both need to get out of Spurs

After years of being laughing stocks on the pitch, what Spurs need right now, is a clean break.

The best thing for the North London outfit would be that both Levy and ENIC leave the club and there is a takeover.

New owners are certainly the need of the hour and there needs to be change sooner rather than later.

While Ange Postecoglou must also be blamed for what’s been a dismal season and the record in the last 50 games or so has been abysmal, the main problem at the club is higher up.

If after 25 years, Levy has not figured out how to make things right, there is a fair chance that he never will, and fans will be more than happy to see him walk away.
