Daniel Levy hailed as ‘unbelievable’ new signing lined up for Thomas Frank
Tottenham could turn heads with their first signing of the Thomas Frank era.
The Lilywhites are expected to appoint Frank as their new head coach by the weekend.
The Dane is now the second-longest-standing current manager in the Premier League behind Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, and it is hoped his experience will benefit them in the league.
As a result, Spurs are looking to bring in players for their new manager and could disrupt Manchester United’s transfer plans in the process.

Tottenham could hijack Man United’s bid for Bryan Mbeumo
It has been reported that Mbeumo wants to join the Manchester giants this summer.
The forward had been linked to Tottenham before, but uncertainty around Ange Postecoglou slowed down their progress in the summer transfer window.
But Spurs could hijack the deal if they appoint Frank this summer, and Jamie O’Hara believes the club should do everything to reunite him with the Dane.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
Bryan Mbeumo | 42 | 20 | 9 | 3,577 |
In quotes provided by Grosvenor Sport (12 June), the ex-Tottenham midfielder said: “Tottenham need to do everything they can to get Mbeumo off United’s hands and reunite him with Frank; he’d be an unbelievable signing, he has everything Spurs need.
“The current squad and players aren’t good enough to compete for Europe with the likes of Newcastle and Aston Villa. The target for next season should be getting back into the top six and giving the fans good football to watch every week. Structured formations and organised football have been missing for the last two seasons, and that’s what Spurs need if they’re to challenge in the top half of the table.
“Frank is a proven Premier League manager; he gets the best out of players. This is his time to step up and compete at a big club. He’s an honest manager, a good person and carries a lot of respect in the footballing industry. I think he’s a great appointment and it shows courage from Daniel Levy. The easy option was to keep Ange in the job, and we would’ve seen the same story play out as Erik ten Hag and Man Utd.”

Tottenham should move in for Mbeumo
The best clubs in the world have players fighting to start in every position on the field of play.
The Lilywhites won the UEFA Europa League last season. But there are still several players who have become too comfortable as guaranteed starters.
Brennan Johnson etched himself in Spurs history when he scored the winning goal against Man United in the UEFA Europa League final. Even before that historic feat, he was their leading top scorer in all competitions.
Despite this, the right winger is a case where statistics do not necessarily reflect a player’s performance on the pitch.
His goal-scoring instincts are undeniable and have brought Tottenham much joy this season. But he almost seems like a one-trick pony, crashing into the box in the hope of getting on the other end of a cross.
Johnson struggles to beat his man when on the wing and deliver a good ball into the area. He is not extremely fast or technical, and he gives the impression that he could offer so much more going forward if challenged for that right-wing spot.
Therefore, Mbeumo would not only deepen Spurs’ squad depth, but will help start a culture where players must be ready to deliver 100 per cent or face demotion to the second string.
