Levy torn to shreds after ‘awful’ treatment of Postecoglou at Tottenham
Daniel Levy has once again come under fire after Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham.
After weeks of speculation, Spurs eventually decided to relieve Postecoglou of his duties.
Despite the 59-year-old leading Tottenham to a UEFA Europa League title, the historically poor Premier League season was too concerning for Levy and the rest of the Spurs hierarchy to ignore.
However, Levy’s handling of the situation has drawn some strong criticism.

Levy blasted after leaving his name off Postecoglou sack statement
Postecoglou is just one of many senior exits at Tottenham in recent days.
The Lilywhites officially announced that Postecoglou had been sacked on Friday (6 June).
In the official statement, Postecoglou was thanked for his service as well as for delivering the Europa League, while the decision to go in a different direction was explained.

However, Levy’s name was nowhere to be seen on this statement, which Matt Law took issue with.
In a post to X on Friday, Law wrote, “It’s really poor that [Daniel] Levy was not quoted directly in the Tottenham statement re Postecoglou.
“I also think it’s pretty awful that he was left in the dark for two weeks over his future. Sport is about winning, and Postecoglou won. He deserved another season and to be treated much better.”
Tottenham could struggle to keep hold of players
As well as changes among the staff, it looks as though there could be changes within the squad ahead of next season.
It has been widely reported that the Tottenham players are fuming about the decision to sack Postecoglou just 16 days after winning the Europa League. As a result, a few could force exits this summer.
Cristian Romero has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, which could be accelerated after Postecoglou’s dismissal, as the defender was understood to have a close relationship with his former manager.
Son Heung-min’s future is also uncertain as the forward, who was a vocal supporter of Postecoglou, is linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
In addition to potential outgoings, Tottenham will need to reinvest in the squad. However, it is fair to assume that any signings will be put on pause until the managerial vacancy is filled.
