Daniel Levy ally steps down with bombshell exit news at Tottenham

Tottenham are already making changes behind the scenes ahead of the new campaign.

While most of the focus this summer will be on the future of Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham are in desperate need of change across several departments of the club.

In regard to the former, it is expected that he will be sacked by Levy, though the exit of another figure behind the scenes has already been confirmed.

Tottenham executive director steps down

The last campaign has been a strange one for Spurs, having won their first major trophy in 17 years, but also recording their worst ever Premier League finish, and the latter is expected to spark several changes this summer.

However, the most recent of those changes has seen Donna Cullen step down from her position as executive director, as confirmed via the official Tottenham site.

Cullen, despite very rarely being in the spotlight in North London, had a significant role to play behind the scenes as Levy’s “right-hand woman”.

Her main role at the club was behind the marketing and communications department, though, as relayed by Levy in the official statement, her role grew across several other departments.

Postecoglou could be next out of Tottenham exit door

Despite winning the Europa League, the pressure is still firmly on the shoulders of Postecoglou, who may already have been made aware of his fate at Spurs.

The general feeling is that his sacking is imminent, though the reluctance to pull the trigger as of yet has sparked some debate as to where his future lies.

With Champions League football to contend with next season, whatever decision Levy makes needs to be communicated soon; otherwise, Tottenham are wasting valuable time in the transfer window.

Recruitment is going to play a deciding role in the success that this side can find next season, and with the managerial uncertainty still looming, very few players will be attracted by the prospect of making a move.

With that in mind, an official decision is expected to be communicated to supporters in the coming weeks.
