Daniel Levy accused of killing Tottenham as ‘scary’ relegation fear emerges

Jamie O’Hara has slammed Daniel Levy for “killing” Tottenham after Everton went ahead of them in the Premier League table on Saturday.

Spurs have had it rough this season with injuries undoubtedly playing a huge part in their poor form this season.

Everton battered Leicester City 4-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday to leapfrog Spurs in the table and, writing via his personal X account (1 February), O’Hara shared his thoughts on Spurs potentially being in a relegation battle this season, pointing the finger squarely at Levy.

“It’s actually scary that Everton are above us,” O’Hara wrote.

“Levy has killed us no one wants to sign for Spurs no manager wants to take the job, how can you have the stadium we have the facilities we have and no one wants to sign, we are in a relegation battle and it’s going to get worse.”

Daniel Levy needs to find a way to turn things around at Tottenham

To put it politely, Tottenham have been atrocious in the Premier League this season.

Granted, the sheer amount of injuries they’ve sustained has certainly played a part in where they currently sit in the top-flight table but they should still be doing far better than what they have done recently.

The winter transfer window has been open since the start of January and it’s only the last couple of days when Ange Postecoglou and Levy have decided to dip their toes into the market to see what’s available.

And, to be fair to them both, they have tried to bring in some players such as Mathys Tel and Fikayo Tomori but both have ended up rejecting the North London outfit in favour of staying at their respective clubs.

Only time will tell if Spurs will be able to bring in some new faces before the transfer window closes but until the deadline strikes on 3 February, Levy should be trying everything in his power to improve Postecoglou’s squad.

In other Tottenham news, Wayne Rooney has reacted to a new Ange Postecoglou sack development.
