Daniel Levy called time on his Tottenham tenure after a memorable 24 years at the North London club.
During his reign, he oversaw substantial change at Spurs and was responsible for some iconic moments.
Indeed, he was also responsible for signing some quality players for the Lilywhites, with Romero certainly falling into that category.
Now, the World Cup winner has spoken out on Levy’s departure during a Champions League press conference on 15 September.
“I don’t know what’s happened, but he is a person who has been at the club for a good many years,” Romero told reporters.
“We need to thank him. He brought me here. Fortunately, we could crown his reign with a trophy. I wish the very best.”
