Chelsea v Tottenham result predicted by supercomputer
Tottenham return to domestic action and face London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
Last time Spurs locked horns with Enzo Maresca’s men, Ange Postecoglou’s side fell on the wrong side of a 4-3 thriller back in December.
Tottenham are vying to beat Chelsea to enjoy a rare moment of positivity in an otherwise woeful campaign which sees them sitting just 14th in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Maresca’s side are intent on remaining in the top four as they look to book their slot in next season’s Champions League.

Chelsea set to beat Tottenham
Ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League trip to Stamford Bridge, Opta’s supercomputer has crunched the numbers and has determined that the Blues have a 56.4 per cent chance of beating Spurs.
That leaves Postecoglou’s side with a 22.7 per cent probability of emerging victorious on their travels, while a draw stands at 20.8 per cent.
Tottenham’s recent record vs Chelsea | Result |
08/12/2024 | Chelsea win 4-3 |
02/05/2024 | Chelsea win 2-0 |
06/11/2023 | Chelsea win 4-1 |
26/02/2023 | Tottenham win 2-0 |
Perhaps a defeat would not surprise the Tottenham faithful, as their side has not beaten Chelsea since their 2-0 victory back in February 2023.

A win over Chelsea would ease the pressure on Postecoglou
Spurs are currently enduring an incredibly disappointing domestic campaign, while a top-half finish looks beyond their reach, even though they finished fifth in the Premier League just last season.
Tottenham’s poor performances, such as their 2-0 defeat at Fulham, which preceded the recent international break, have seen the pressure pile on boss Postecoglou.
The Australian has faced calls to be sacked while Spurs have identified both Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola as potential replacements.
The fact that both Bournemouth and Fulham could land a European spot this term, while Tottenham are dwindling in lower mid-table, shows just how poorly Postecoglou and Co have performed for large stints of the campaign.
Tottenham’s continued progress in the Europa League, where they face German side Frankfurt in the quarter-finals, appears to have protected Postecoglou from the sack.
However, if the former Celtic boss can steer Spurs to a victory over London rivals Chelsea, it could go a long way towards securing his future in the dugout.
