Carlton Cole fumes at Ange Postecoglou over ‘nonsense’ he saw at Tottenham
Carlton Cole has hit out at Ange Postecoglou despite the manager leading Tottenham to the UEFA Europa League final.
Postecoglou faces the prospect of being sacked as the Tottenham manager, as Spurs sit 17th in the Premier League after losing 20 of their 36 games.
However, the Greek-Australian manager could win the North London giants their first trophy in 17 years before leaving, with his team set to face Manchester United in the Europa League final on 21 May.
This comes after Tottenham beat Bodo/Glimt 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-final to book their place in the final at the San Mames stadium.

Cole furious with Postecoglou after ‘unacceptable’ behaviour
After securing a 2-0 win against Bodo/Glimt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie, Postecoglou was filmed giving a speech to his players in the dressing room.
The 59-year-old’s talk garnered attention online, with Wayne Bridge among those who were impressed with the way he articulated his thoughts.
However, Cole was not impressed with Postecoglou’s approach, considering Tottenham are 17th in the league and were expected to beat Bodo/Glimt anyway.
The former West Ham star believes Spurs should feel lucky to have gotten past the Norwegian outfit and described Postecoglou’s post-match speech as ‘nonsense’.
“I’d say, ‘We got off the hook there’. It’s Bodo/Glimt”, Cole said on The Dressing Room podcast (12 May).
“‘Mate, we’re lucky we got through this. We’re 17th in the league, this is relegation form’.
“Listen, Bodo/Glimt can be Bodo/Glimt, but this is relegation form.
“I’m not having it, I’m not having it because this is nonsense. They shouldn’t be in the final.
With Cole dismissive of Postecoglou’s post-match talk, Bridge attempted to move on from the topic, only to be met with opposition from his colleague again.
“No, they need to be talked about; this is unacceptable”, Cole said. “This is nonsensical for me.”
Tottenham players happy under Postecoglou
While Cole may not have been impressed by Postecoglou’s antics, it is safe to say most Tottenham players are enjoying their life under the manager.
Despite their struggles this season, Spurs players have come out to express their admiration for the former Celtic boss.

This is despite Cristian Romero being among the players seeking a move away from the North London club this summer transfer window.
Spurs will be grateful to Postecoglou if he leads them to their first trophy since 2008, even if Daniel Levy decides to sack him at the end of the season.
