Bournemouth vs Tottenham postponement update as Met Office issue new warning for Wednesday

Tottenham travel to Bournemouth on Wednesday in search of a much-needed win.

Tottenham drew 1-1 with Sunderland on Sunday, and tensions among the fanbase are high as the Lilywhites sit 13th in the table.

After Spurs dropped another two points at home, Thomas Frank remains under pressure and must defeat a Bournemouth side that is completely out of form.

Antoine Semenyo was linked with Tottenham, and although he looks set to move to Man City, he is expected to play against Frank’s side.

Bournemouth beat Tottenham 1-0 in August, and as they prepare to host Frank‘s side at the Vitality Stadium, concerns about the weather have emerged.

Weather warnings issued across England during Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Yellow weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office across the entirety of England.

The snow and sub-zero temperatures on Monday could lead to issues for fans travelling to the match via public transport.

However, the game will not be postponed unless there is a serious deterioration in weather conditions.

With the match kicking off at 7:30 pm, fans can expect a temperature of around four degrees Celsius, which could rise to five degrees by the end of the match.

As the image above shows, warnings have been put in place across Dorset on Wednesday, and while there is a 62 per cent chance of rain at 9 pm, fans should feel confident that the match will go ahead.

Thomas Frank looks set to extend impressive record vs Bournemouth

Following their 1-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in August, Bournemouth are looking to complete the league double over Spurs for the first time.

Tottenham have lost two of their last three Premier League games against the Cherries, as many as they had in their first 14.

It marks a poor run on what is an otherwise impressive record, especially given how Bournemouth have emerged as a tough team to beat under Andoni Iraola over the past few years.

In Frank’s case, he has often gotten the better of the Cherries, winning seven and drawing two of his 11 meetings with them.

In addition to that, Iraola’s side are winless in their last 11 Premier League games, which is their longest run without a victory within a single top-flight campaign.

Spurs are also looking to keep three consecutive clean sheets on the road in the league for the first time since April 2022.

All the signs point to a Tottenham win, and the travelling supporters will be hoping to see their side claim all three points in the blustery conditions on the South coast.
