Arsenal star spotted pitch-side on crutches before kick-off v Tottenham

Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka was spotted on crutches by the pitch ahead of the game against Tottenham.

Spurs are set to take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby and Ange Postecoglou will be keen on snapping their recent form against their arch rivals.

However, one player who’s absent and unavailable is Saka, who will be playing no role in the game.

ESPN journalist James Olley shared an image of the England international on his X account.

Tottenham have to fancy their chances against Arsenal

Arsenal have Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard in attack – none of whom can be game changers by themselves.

If Spurs impose themselves by pressing Arsenal high up and their defenders give the Gunners forwards a tough time initially, the hosts may be in for a long afternoon.

It’s interesting to see how Spurs begin as they have historically thrown caution to the wind regardless of the opponents.

However, recent results have seen questions being asked of Ange Postecoglou and he could decide to tweak his plans in order to make things difficult for the hosts.

Winning against Arsenal could be something that can galvanise the Lilywhites and give their campaign the boost that’s so desperately needed.

The away fans are certainly going to show up for Spurs and it’s going to be a breathtaking atmosphere inside the Emirates.
