Archie Gray reacts to Bellingham message as Sunderland seal Wembley date
Archie Gray was evidently watching on as Sunderland secured their spot in the Championship play-off final.
Until the Europa League final, Tottenham have very little to focus on given their shortcomings in domestic football throughout the current campaign, though the same cannot be said for those on Wearside.
They, too, have a final to look forward to in the coming weeks, albeit in the play-offs as Sunderland look to make their first return to the Premier League in nine years.
Several Black Cats stars have been linked with a move to Tottenham if they fail to make a return, but Gray reacted to Sunderland taking one step closer to avoiding those exits.

Tottenham target Jobe books day at Wembley with Sunderland
It seems as though the majority of the country will be a Sunderland supporter on 24 May, given the fact that it is either them or Sheffield United who will be promoted back to the Premier League.
The Black Cats have had a magnificent season, and much of that success has come down to their midfield talent, two of whom have been linked with a move to Tottenham.
However, it was Jobe who started the clash at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, with Sunderland scoring a 122nd-minute equaliser against Coventry to win the tie on aggregate, with Jobe sharing his immediate reaction after the game.
Writing via Instagram, in a post liked by Gray, Jobe said: “What a team, what a club, what a place and what a night. An absolute pleasure, as always. See you at Wembley, Mackems!”
Jobe has attracted interest from Tottenham
If Sunderland make it back into the Premier League, it will be a good thing for English football. However, if they don’t, Spurs could benefit.
Sunderland | Games | Goals | Assists |
Jobe | 41 | 4 | 3 |
Jobe has been linked with clubs from all around Europe, and if the Black Cats are to stay in the Championship, there is a sense of inevitability that players will leave, and they will be aware of the “danger” that could follow that [Mackem News].
Tottenham found a lot of success when they acquired Gray from the Championship, and they could repeat that trick with the signing of Jobe if promotion isn’t achieved on Wearside.
