Archie Gray reacts as Borussia Dortmund transfer confirmed
Archie Gray has had a solid start to life at Tottenham, impressing supporters in his 28 Premier League appearances.
The 19-year-old possibly didn’t anticipate playing as much as he has done so far, but with plenty of injuries in the Tottenham side, Gray got his opportunity to shine.
As Thomas Frank prepares to make the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to replace Ange Postecoglou, it is yet to be seen how much change there will be in the Lilywhites’ squad.

Gray reacts as Borussia Dortmund announce signing
Having made the move to north London from Leeds United last summer, Gray has shown absolutely no trouble in managing the step up to the top flight.
With his former side gaining promotion to the Premier League after being crowned champions, they will be hoping they have a similar experience.
Jobe Bellingham is also someone who will be taking a step up, but not to the Premier League with Sunderland despite their play-off victory.
The 19-year-old is following in the footsteps of his brother and has completed a move to Borussia Dortmund this summer.
While Gray prepares for the Euros with England under-21s, he will not be joined by Bellingham, who instead will be part of his new side’s Club World Cup campaign.
Nevertheless, the Spurs man was keen to show his support for his international teammate as he liked Bellingham’s post announcing his move to Germany.
Gray to look forward to life with Frank
Tottenham will be hoping to have a squad that retains its fitness better next season, but after his contributions, Gray will surely have a big part to play too.
The youngster has spent plenty of time filling in as part of the defence this season, but as a natural midfielder, he may well have the opportunity to show what he can do further up the pitch regularly.
Compeition | Appearances |
Premier League | 28 |
Europa League | 11 |
Frank has shown his ability to work well with young players and further develop their skills in the Premier League, so that will surely sound exciting to Gray as he prepares for an arrival.
The pressure is on Daniel Levy to support the Lilywhites to have a much better season, especially with Champions League football to juggle too.
This gives Gray an excellent opportunity to solidify his spot as a key Spurs man.
