Ange Postecoglou sack: Tottenham decision made in ‘Absurd’ twist

Tottenham will not sack Ange Postecoglou despite losing 2-1 to Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday, Alasdair Gold says.

The football.london journalist has revealed that the North London outfit are sticking with the Australian manager for now despite suffering another defeat at home on 26 January.

Spurs acknowledge their “absurd” injury crisis and are trying to sign at least one player to reinforce the squad before 3 February.

While the fitness issues in the squad haven’t helped Postecoglou, there can be no excuse for the recent form in N17.

The Lilywhites have won just one of their last 10 matches in the Premier League and are on a four-game losing streak.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has had a tough time of things at the Foxes but managed to ease the pressure on himself after the win over Tottenham.

Postecoglou will arguably be worried about his position in the North London outfit’s dugout, but it looks like Daniel Levy is still behind him.

The Spurs chairman needs to take some responsibility for the Lilywhites’ downfall in recent months, and supporters have made their feelings known.

Tottenham are yet to bolster their defence despite the evident injury issues, and questions need to be asked why they still haven’t signed a defender with just a few days left in the winter window.

The former Celtic head coach seems to be out of his depth at Spurs, and he may be fired if things continue to get worse.

In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou can’t use one excuse after what happened against Leicester.
