Ange Postecoglou ‘knows Tottenham sack ready’ after huge Pochettino news
Tottenham could sack Ange Postecoglou soon and potentially replace him with USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Daniel Levy has already made a decision at Spurs, with the Australian manager likely to leave regardless of what happens in the Europa League [The Telegraph].
The North London outfit’s co-chairman seems to have had enough of the former Celtic boss as the team sit 16th in the Premier League.
Pochettino appeared to meet Levy recently after images of the two went viral on social media, and it looks like the Argentine head coach is primed to return to the Lilywhites.

The news outlet reports (23 April) that Levy has made it known that the North London outfit are looking for a new head coach.

It’s been claimed that as the Lilywhites look for a new manager, their hierarchy have the USMNT boss in their thinking.
Pochettino, for his part, would love to return to N17 after failing to settle in since taking charge of the United States.

Postecoglou on his way out at Spurs
Spurs lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday (21 April), increasing the pressure on the former Celtic boss.
While the players are to blame for the manner of recent defeats, the Australian manager’s cycle at the North London outfit seems to be coming to an end.
Levy probably recognises that Postecoglou needs to go, and it’s surprising to see the Lilywhites stick by him for so long.
While Tottenham have a great chance of winning the Europa League, that doesn’t negate the fact that they’ve been shocking in the Premier League.
The North Londoners will face Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the European competition, and they should be favourites to reach the finals in Bilbao.
Winning the tournament is a different thing, though, with Manchester United or Athletic Club the Lilywhites’ potential opponents for the final.
If Pochettino does manage to end the 17-year trophy drought at Spurs, his name will go down in history, but that may not be enough to keep him in a job.
