Ange Postecoglou has just revealed whether he will return to Tottenham
Tottenham hold a special place in Ange Postecoglou’s heart, but not enough to persuade him to return.
Postecoglou has spoken out on his time at Tottenham over the last week, with claims made about their status in football, their way of recruiting, as well as the time he knew he was going to be sacked.
But his latest admission is in regard to whether he would be open to a return to North London, which he quite emphatically denied.
The Australian spoke well on the pride he had in charge of the Lilywhites, but insists that the way he has gone about his career will prevent a return to his former club.
However, he didn’t rule out a return to the Premier League, even after the nightmare he endured at Nottingham Forest.

Why is Ange Postecoglou not coming back to Tottenham?
When Postecoglou was sacked, the feeling was that things couldn’t get much worse, but under Thomas Frank, they did.
And that was a showcase that the issues that were often blamed on the Australians were actually things that should have been addressed by the higher-ups.
Fans realised that pretty quickly, and having won the Europa League last season, a minority of them actually wanted to see Postecoglou return to North London.
But when speaking on The Overlap, he made it quite clear that he won’t revisit his past, and while it was in response to his time at Celtic, it still holds value over a return to Spurs.
“I won’t go back, I don’t think that’s kind of how my career has gone and played out,” he said.
On whether he wants to stay in England, he replied: “It depends. I think what’s important now is that I’m still really passionate about football, so if a club approaches me, it’s not like I’m going to walk in and do things differently.
“I want to win things, mate. I’ve done that my whole career. “
Postecoglou return would be a terrible thing for Tottenham
While it appears highly unlikely, especially anytime soon, it’s still important to note just how dangerous it would be for Spurs to go back.
These last two campaigns have been their worst in their recent history by a mile, and to go back to the manager who ultimately started that downfall would not only bring back bad memories but also a mentality that things are going to turn ugly.
Tottenham need new ideas from top to bottom, and the one thing that Postecoglou showcased throughout his time in North London was his lack of a plan B.
As for who the man is to achieve things at Tottenham, that remains to be seen, but it’s crystal clear that they need to move forward and not backwards.
