Ange Postecoglou already in running for another Premier League job
Things couldn’t have gone any worse for Ange Postecoglou since winning the Europa League title with Tottenham in May.
Daniel Levy sacked Postecoglou a few weeks later, due to Spurs suffering a record-low finish in the Premier League.
Thomas Frank has since replaced Postecoglou at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and although there was a lot of anger about the Aussie’s sacking, it’s fair to say that there’s been an improvement under the former Brentford boss.
Postecoglou then found his feet back in the Premier League at Nottingham Forest on 9 September. However, he was sacked just 39 days later, 19 minutes after their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea last week.
But there still seem to be opportunities for the ex-Tottenham manager to stay in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou in running to replace Daniel Farke as next Leeds manager
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke may have overseen a win against West Ham on Friday night, but the German’s record in the Premier League still sees some doubts surrounding his future.
In 58 top-flight matches at both Leeds and Norwich, he’s yet to reach double-digits for wins, with the Whites’ win over West Ham on Friday being his ninth.
Farke’s Premier League record:
- Games managed: 58
- Wins: 9
- Draws: 10
- Losses: 39
- Points: 37
And that’s why, before last season ended, the Daily Mail reported that Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe could sack Farke due to his top-flight woes.
The betting market has now opened on Leeds finding a replacement for Farke, and former Tottenham manager Postecoglou is a leading candidate.
Brendan Rodgers is the odds-on 5/6 favourite and Postecoglou is the 9/4 second-favourite.

Gary O’Neil (3/1), Edin Terzic (4/1) and Marco Rose (5/1) are also among the front-runners to replace Farke, should Leeds decide to pull the trigger on the former Norwich manager.

What can Ange Postecoglou do for Leeds?
After seeing how badly Postecoglou did at Nottingham Forest, it’s hard to hold out hope for him at Elland Road if the ex-Tottenham manager finds himself replacing Farke in West Yorkshire.
Jamie Carragher has recently discussed how many injuries Spurs had under Postecoglou, and that would be something that a team like Leeds wouldn’t be able to afford.
Leeds didn’t do a lot of business in the summer transfer window, so they don’t have that many players who you’d say are Premier League quality.
If Postecoglou goes in there and runs them into the ground without them being at the fitness levels he’d want them to be at, it could be a disaster.
And then there’s the style of play.
It didn’t work for Tottenham in the league, it didn’t work for Nottingham Forest, and we doubt it’s going to work for anyone except for a team like Celtic, who are bound to dominate the league they’re in.
