Watch now as footage emerges of Tottenham fan tifo ahead of Arsenal clash – ‘Looks unreal’

An “unreal” Tottenham tifo has been captured on video ahead of the North London derby with Arsenal.

Tottenham are entering a new managerial era after the sacking of head coach Thomas Frank and the arrival of interim boss Igor Tudor.

Spurs have dropped to just above the relegation zone, with the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium outfit a meagre four points clear of 18th-placed West Ham.

Tottenham are in desperate need of three points but they face a tough test at home to Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

But to add an extra sense of occasion to this clash, a tifo has been unfurled in the stands before the 4.30pm encounter between the London rivals.

Excitement builds as Tottenham tifo unveiled

Tifo culture has its roots in Italy and Southern Europe but over the years, it has made its way to English football.

Tifos usually take the form of giant flags inside stadiums but on this occasion, a section of the seats in the Tottenham ground have been altered for this clash.

The Tifo, which has been praised by Spurs fans ahead of kick-off, appears to read ‘North Ldn (London) since 1882’.

Footage taken by Chris Cowlin was shared via X by Spurs Army Tweets, who added: “That tifo looks unreal.”

Tottenham have lost their last four league games to Arsenal and their last win over their fierce adversaries was way back in May 2022 – eight encounters ago.

Spurs lost the return fixture 4-1 at Emirates Stadium earlier this season, so they will want to get revenge for that defeat this time out.

Tottenham face crucial London fixtures stretch

After this clash with Mikel Arteta’s title hopefuls, 16th-placed Tottenham head to south west London away to Fulham on 1 March.

They then entertain fellow strugglers Crystal Palace four days later.

While they are big underdogs for the Arsenal game, Tottenham will certainly target victories over Fulham and Palace.

Tudor has a huge task to re-energise a team that has picked up just two points from a possible 15 in recent weeks.

They may be classed as too good to go down but history tells us that that has not stopped other big teams suffering a similar fate.
