Tottenham vs Sunderland weather latest: Will it snow and could game be postponed?
Tottenham and Sunderland will be hoping for no weather disruption in their clash on Sunday.
Thomas Frank’s side hosts Sunderland at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday in a Premier League clash that is crucial for both sides.
Spurs drew 0-0 against Brentford last time out in the league, where full-time boos aimed at Frank sounded from the away end.
Sunderland will be coming into the match on a high after holding Manchester City to a 0-0 stalemate at the Stadium of Light, and Regis Le Bris’ side will be confident of victory.
There has now been an important weather update ahead of the showdown.
No weather disruption despite yellow warnings in UK
Frank has been under intense pressure at Tottenham from supporters, with both results and performances coming under scrutiny.
The January transfer window is now open, and the Lilywhites’ hierarchy is reportedly going to give the Dane a £150million war chest for new additions.
The faith shown by the Tottenham board makes it even more important for Frank to secure three points on Sunday.
As highlighted by the Met Office, a yellow weather warning has been issued across many parts of the UK, with snow and ice potentially affecting some Premier League games.

- Icy patches are likely to form in lots of areas
But luckily for Tottenham and Sunderland fans, London is set to be unaffected, with no weather warning in place and no snow expected.
This allows neither manager to use an excuse for weather conditions.

Tottenham and Sunderland’s fear of the unknown
The last time the two sides met was back at the Stadium of Light in January 2017 in a 0-0 draw.
However, lots has changed for either team since then, as Tottenham have never faced Sunderland at their home ground since moving in 2019.
Spurs and Sunderland won’t have a great idea of what’s going to unfold at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Which means a loss could give the Lewis Family a hard decision to make.
