Tottenham v Brighton result predicted by supercomputer

Tottenham play host to Brighton this Sunday in the final Premier League game of the season.

After the euphoria of winning the Europa League, Tottenham may already have entered party mode ahead of their clash with the Seagulls, though they will still be keen to end the season strongly.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side currently sit 17th in the Premier League, showcasing just how poor they have been domestically.

However, a home counter with Brighton provides Tottenham with a chance to end the season with a win, and provide themselves with somewhat of a platform to build from next campaign.

Postecoglou may be approaching his final game as Spurs boss

After the triumph over Man United in Bilbao, Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham is certainly unclear, with it once claimed he would be sacked regardless of the outcome in the Europa League.

Any decision made on that front is likely to come after the Brighton encounter, which, according to the Opta supercomputer, is not expected to go the way of Spurs.

Tottenham have had a terrible Premier League campaign.

Brighton are the clear favourites for Sunday’s game with a 48.4 per cent chance of sealing all three points, with Tottenham awarded just a 28.6 per cent chance of a win.

At this stage in the season, the game is somewhat irrelevant for both sides, but Tottenham will want to do everything in their power to avoid a 17th-place finish, though they may need a win to do that.

Tottenham will already have plans in place for the summer

With Champions League football now secured, Tottenham’s summer planning has just gotten a whole lot easier.

It would have been a disaster for Spurs to enter the new campaign without European football, but thanks to Brennan Johnson, that is no longer a concern.

Heads will already have turned towards the summer, but Spurs simply need to end the season with a win when they host Brighton and ensure that they go out on a high.
