Tottenham fans send strong Thomas Frank message to Lewis family after Sunderland draw

Tottenham’s struggles at home have continued into 2026 as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

Ben Davies opened the scoring for Tottenham in the first half, turning home from three yards out after good work from Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven.

However, Spurs went into their shell in the second period, and they were eventually made to pay by Brian Brobbey ten minutes from time.

Frank went into the game under sack pressure, and the Tottenham faithful made their feelings on the Dane known at full-time against Sunderland.

Tottenham fans boo Thomas Frank after Sunderland game

Spurs were woeful at home across the whole of 2025, and the New Year has started in the same way.

For much of the first half against Sunderland, the North London side were on top and looked bright whenever they went forward.

As the game went on though, the Lilywhites dropped deeper and deeper, allowing Regis Le Bris’ side opportunities to equalise, which they eventually took.

After the full-time whistle, Frank was once again booed by Spurs supporters as he left the pitch.

The former Brentford boss has clearly lost the backing of the Tottenham fanbase, which has surely put a ticking clock on his future in North London.

Thomas Frank on borrowed time at Tottenham

Many Tottenham supporters have been calling for Frank to be sacked over the past few weeks, and very little seems to be improving at the North London side.

So far, the Lewis family have stuck by their man, and there is no reason to believe that a draw against Sunderland would be enough for them to change their mind.

However, given the lack of consistency at Spurs, it seems that Frank is always on the brink of disaster.

Tottenham fans believe that their side should be finishing in the Champions League places, and if the Dane can’t deliver that, his job is in danger.

If Frank fails to improve the situation in the second half of the campaign, then the Lewis family will be forced to pull the trigger.
