Monaco vs Tottenham: Weather warning and postponement chances revealed
Thomas Frank will be hoping that nothing goes wrong during Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League confrontation with Monaco.
Storm Amy caused havoc across the United Kingdom in recent weeks, raising fears that Spurs’ clash against Leeds United could be halted.
However, the game was largely unaffected by the storm, and a first Spurs goal for Mohammed Kudus earned the Lilywhites all three points at Elland Road.
Tottenham’s most recent Premier League game ended in a miserable defeat to Aston Villa at home, with the Champions League seeming like a great opportunity for Frank to issue a response.
But like there was with Storm Amy, the weather will no doubt be a topic of conversation heading into the game in the south of France.

Moderate wind warning issued for Monaco game
Tottenham will take on Monaco in the Champions League at Stade Louis II on 22 October.
Frank is expected to make several changes to his starting line-up, with Randal Kolo Muani tipped to start for Spurs.
The French international has spent several seasons in Ligue 1 and could be a valuable asset for the Dane in the confrontation.
Fans will no doubt be eager to see the striker step onto the pitch, having only received minimal minutes against Villa after spending weeks sidelined with a leg injury.
However, both he and travelling supporters could be subject to some blustery conditions throughout the match after recent developments.
Indeed, there is a moderate wind warning in place, which spans the duration of the confrontation, via Meteo Alarm on 22 October.
It is understood that moderate damage may occur, especially in vulnerable and exposed areas.

As a result, those in attendance will have to keep on the side of caution before, during and after the game is played, with no risk of postponement so far.
Randal Kolo Muani can announce himself against Monaco
Even if Kolo Muani does not start for Frank against Monaco, there is a high chance he will be given minutes during the game.
In the absence of Dominic Solanke, the new recruit is arguably Spurs’ best striker.
- Richarlison netted just five goals last season for the Lilywhites
- Kolo Muani netted 10 in half a season for Juventus alone
- He has only played 24 minutes for Spurs this season
The Frenchman, who is good on the ball, offers a level of versatility that Richarlison does not possess.
Furthermore, with Mathys Tel still so young and unpolished, Kolo Muani could establish himself as Tottenham’s starting striker with a good performance on Wednesday.
