Tottenham fans believe Will Lankshear could be done at Tottenham after Ange Postecoglou confirmed the forward will be allowed to leave on loan this month.

With the potential arrival of Randal Kolo Muani [Give Me Sport], any chance of game time for Lankshear looks remarkably minimal, especially after he failed to make an appearance in their 3-0 victory over Tamworth in the FA Cup.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday (14 January), as shared by Football London, Postecoglou said: "We can’t afford to let players go.

"There could be some young ones, like Alfie Dorrington has gone out on loan and young Will could be as well.”

A loan move seems like a reasonable opportunity for Lankshear to gain some valuable senior experience. but the update from Postecoglou led to claims from supporters that he may be finished at Spurs.

Will Lankshear could be finished at Tottenham

Lankshear arrived at Tottenham as an up-and-coming striker but his lack of first-team involvement has been cause for concern, with one fan suggesting he could be done in North London.

Another posted on X that "it makes no sense", while someone else added the decision is "absolutely baffling".

One fan added he is "not surprised" given Lankshear's lack of first-team involvement, with the general consensus that the Lilywhites need to better use their academy players.

Ultimately, if Postecoglou had no intentions of utilising Lankshear, a loan spell should have been organised well before now. Given Spurs are struggling, now seems like a bizarre time to sanction it.

If he isn't deemed valuable to the squad now given the underwhelming season they are enduring, will he ever be?

There's no doubting a loan move from his point of view will be valuable, but it just feels like this is all heading towards a pending permanent exit.
