Spurs have won just once in their last 18 visits to Anfield in all competitions, showcasing the size of the task awaiting them.

Roberto De Zerbi's side have arrested their Premier League form somewhat, keeping clean sheets against Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Meanwhile, Liverpool remain unbeaten in all competitions heading into this one, drawing three and winning two.

Andoni Iraola's men will be confident of progressing into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, and are sure to be strong favourites to do so.

Liverpool's big danger at present has to be Alexander Isak, with the Swedish striker on three goals and one assist from five games this term.

Tottenham and Liverpool troubled with host of injury problems

Starting with the home side, Liverpool have a mix of first-team stars and fringe players dealing with injury issues.

Cody Gakpo didn't train all week ahead of the Reds' game with Fulham due to an abductor injury, but did manage 30 minutes off the bench.

As such, he's likely to play a part but perhaps from the bench once again, whilst Tuesday is likely to come too soon for Joe Gomez.

Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Federico Chiesa and Hugo Ekitike are all long-term absentees, and won't be playing any part at Anfield.

Moving over to Tottenham, De Zerbi is definitely to be without Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, both being long-term absentees.

Mykhailo Mudryk is also expected to be out for six to eight weeks with an ankle problem, and won't be available for Spurs either.

Dejan Kulusevski still isn't back in training either, and so he's not expected to be fit in time to play any part on Tuesday night.

It's not the scoreline any Tottenham fan will want to see, but we think Liverpool will progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win.

The Reds have scored twice in four of their five competitive games this season, whilst scoring goals for Tottenham is a huge issue at present.

We do think they'll get one at Anfield, but Liverpool's high-powered forward line may just have too much for Spurs.
