Jan Paul van Hecke a Rolls-Royce, Mikey Moore must leave - Tottenham player ratings vs Getafe

Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 against Getafe in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Saturday.

Hotspur Way Training Centre hosted the two teams, with the game scheduled for two 35-minute halves, with Curro Burgos scoring the opening goal, but Conor Gallagher equalising soon after in the 60th minute.

The game was rather cagey for the most part, but Ben Davies did have the best opportunity to score right before the half-time whistle, while Richarlison almost found the back of the net with his header in the second half.

Antonin Kinsky hardly broke a sweat as Roberto De Zerbi started him in goal, with Archie Grey, Jan Paul van Hecke, Davies and Andy Robertson in the backline.

Spurs dominated possession for most of the match, with the likes of Sandro Tonali and Lucas Bergvall involved in some impressive link-up play, accompanied by Gallagher in the midfield.

Mikey Moore, Richarlison and Mathys Tel started up top but were not able to do much.

Van Hecke was a Rolls-Royce of a defender at Hotspur Way against Getafe, organising the backline.

The 26-year-old was the most vocal of players on the pitch, showcasing his leadership skills.

Apart from the Netherlands international's duties at the back, he wasn't shy about making forward runs and was a constant threat in the opposition box during corners.

The centre-back also played some impressive line-breaking passes to set his teammates off on dangerous attacks.

One blemish from Van Hecke's performance was Getafe's goal in the 56th minute as he rushed out and was unable to stop the attack, which eventually led to Kinsky getting beaten.

Moore returned to Tottenham in the summer after an impressive loan spell at Rangers.

De Zerbi handed the young winger a start at Hotspur Way, but he wasn't able to make the most of the opportunity.

The 18-year-old Englishman had chances to take on the opposition defence, but often opted to cut back inside and play a horizontal pass.

In the 55th minute, Tel played Robertson through on the left-wing, and the left-back's cross found Moore's head, who was unable to convert it.

The youngster would certainly benefit from another loan move away from Spurs.
