Ashiah Haughton-Sinclair already fast-tracked at Tottenham after Hotspur Way update

Roberto De Zerbi has clearly been impressed by what he has seen from Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ashiah Haughton-Sinclair.

The 15-year-old striker continues to make waves for Spurs at various age-grade levels.

Haughton-Sinclair registered a remarkable 90 goals and assists combined last season.

He has also started this season superbly, having scored 10 times and assisted six more.

This form has not gone unnoticed as he was called up by England Under-16s last month for the first time and duly netted against Italy.

And he is also now getting some recognition at club level amid an update he shared via social media on Tuesday.

Could Ashiah Haughton-Sinclair be Tottenham's next big thing?

While there has been little for the senior side to cheer about in recent times, Haughton-Sinclair offers Tottenham hope for the future.

His figures over the past year, as pointed out by The Talent Hunter, really are mind-blowing.

Tottenham figures really do believe they have a true star in the making in Haughton-Sinclair.

And De Zerbi may agree with that as he included the young gem in first-team training on Tuesday.

The teenager posted an image from Hotspur Way on his personal Instagram account, with a caption reading: "First team training."

Still aged just 15, Haughton-Sinclair is not ready to make his first-team bow just yet.

But there is no harm in De Zerbi integrating him into the fold now ahead of unleashing him even a year or so from now.

What is the 'unusual' contract situation around Haughton-Sinclair?

Haughton-Sinclair signed a four-year scholarship deal with Spurs in May last year.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News at the time, Spurs expert John Wenham described the circumstances around it as "unusual".

“Tottenham obviously value Haughton highly and predict that he is going to go to the top very fast if they’re offering him a four-year scholarship at such a young age," Wenham added.

“There is no guarantee how a player of that age will develop. However, this clearly proves that Tottenham value him and want to keep him around long-term, which is exciting for Haughton.”

That trust has already been more than justified judging by those remarkable figures from last season, continuing into this one.

All Haughton-Sinclair can do for now is continue scoring and assisting at his current rate.

Do that and he will make himself impossible to avoid, as we have now seen with this first-team call-up.
