Alan Shearer blames Roberto De Zerbi in damning Tottenham reveal on Match of the Day
Alan Shearer has called out Roberto De Zerbi after Tottenham Hotspur lost yet again to Aston Villa.
The extended international break is now upon us.
There was a hope that before three weeks away, Spurs would pick up a much-needed Premier League win.
With Unai Emery coming to town, things were never going to be easy, but the hosts certainly created their fair share of chances.
That didn't count for much in the end as the Villans had a 3-0 lead with 79 minutes on the clock.
The encounter may have finished 3-2, but Shearer still believes De Zerbi has questions to answer in North London.

There is no hiding from the defeat against the claret and blue outfit.
The Lilywhites simply had to win on Saturday and instead they conceded three and were nearly blown away.
That sums up where it is going wrong as even big chances for the likes of Savio and Archie Gray meant absolutely nothing.
The problem is that Tottenham don't have their old excuses of a lack of investment anymore, the blame has to lie with De Zerbi.
There are real issues in this side and that was immediately picked out by Alan Shearer on the latest edition of Match of the Day.
He said: "He's signed six of those players who started today. There's definitely a fragility and weakness about them. In the last 48 games, when they've gone behind, they've failed to win any of them.
"That tells you what and who they are at this moment in time and it's his job to change that. That looks very difficult. It's incredible. He's signed six of the ones who started today, so it's up to him to change it."
The question will now be of what the Italian can do after what he's seen from this new-look Spurs side.
Could De Zerbi have done more in Tottenham vs Aston Villa?
There is only so much that a head coach can do.
He's worked with a squad all week and then needs them to perform at the weekend.
It had looked as if his side were finally going to be on the right side of a result early on when Savio tested Zion Suzuki.
That was pretty much as close as it got despite the hosts racking up 20 shots on the day.
With only seven of those being on target and six of the total coming after going 3-0 down, it's not good enough.
It also has to be said that the defending throughout the afternoon just wasn't good enough with an overall aerial duel win rate of just 45 per cent.
With that, the writing was always going to be on the wall.
It means that De Zerbi has a win rate of just 29 per cent in North London and is averaging 1.1 points per game.
He has to turn things around, but like the stat put forward by Shearer, it's a mentality thing at Tottenham right now.
