Tottenham braced for more hits in midst of £25m+ losses as ‘dissatisfaction’ at club shared

Tottenham are braced for at least one of their most prominent and long-serving sponsorship deals to expire at the end of the season, with concerns over no renewal mounting.

That’s according to The Telegraph on Monday, as Joe Lewis and Co. remain unsure on whether the sponsor will even renew, and if so, on what terms.

With the Lilywhites now struggling at the bottom end of the Premier League, they could also miss out on bonuses for European qualification from several of their sponsors.

Some of these sponsors even have termination clauses in the contracts if relegation occurs, which would obviously leave Lewis and Co. severely out of pocket.

It’s already known that Tottenham could lose over £25million with their current deal with front-of-shirt sponsor, AIA, changing from July of 2027.

The contract with AIA is currently worth £40million a year, and from the summer of 2027 onwards, it will be reduced to a fee in the region of £10-£15million a year, with the brand only featuring on Tottenham’s training kit.

Tottenham already burned money with Thomas Frank

Tottenham are on a backwards slope financially and after pay off the estimated £18million that is left in Thomas Frank’s contract.

The club already made a £6.7million investment in the summer to pry him away from Brentford, just for it to turn out as a failure of an appointment months later.

The Lilywhites currently sit 16th in the Premier League, five points from the relegation zone, with Igor Tudor coming in as interim boss until the end of the season.

While there will be a great deal of confidence that Spurs’ current quality of players will be enough to keep the club in the top flight, there will surely be another huge summer of transition once again.

Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust not happy with recent board meeting

There is a lot of controversy surrounding the board at the moment, and the news of more potential losses will only add fuel to the fire.

As reported by football.london on Monday, Tottenham Hotspur’s Supporters Trust met up with the likes of Vinai Venkatesham and other Tottenham chiefs to present their findings from a recent ownership survey.

But the trust then released a statement shortly after the meeting, with a feeling of “dissatisfaction” over the agreed minutes of the meeting.

It goes to show that Venkatesham and others may not truly care about what Supporters think, as it’s another example of them being out of touch.

Something needs to change in N17, and fans may not stop their protest against the club’s hierarchy.
