
In The Money: Tottenham on track to make record-breaking £100m+ matchday revenue
Tottenham are on track to post record-breaking matchday revenue of over £100million for the 2022/23 season.
The North London club’s 2021/22 accounts revealed that the club earned £106.1million in matchday revenue.
The new 62,850-seater stadium was finally filled to capacity by fans in the 2021/22 season after being impacted by Covid-19 the year prior.

It was a club record and marked the first time in history that Tottenham broke the nine-figure mark for matchday revenue.
Spurs are more than doubling the matchday revenue that they received at White Hart Lane, with their former stadium only bringing in £45million during its final season [The Athletic].
Spectacularly, Tottenham’s matchday revenue for the upcoming 2022/23 accounts is expected to increase further to record levels following the club’s run in the Champions League.
Tottenham’s 2021/22 results came during a season where the side endured a disappointing Europa Conference League campaign.
The tickets for the three home games in that competition against Pacos de Ferreira, Mura and Vitesse Arnhem were sold at a lower price point than Champions League fixtures.
In contrast, Spurs topped their Champions League group in 2022/23, selling lucrative ticket packages to fans for the three group games against Eintracht Frankfurt, Sporting Lisbon and Marseille.
Tottenham then also brought in further matchday revenue by hosting AC Milan in the round of 16.

Only Manchester United earned more in matchday revenue than Tottenham in 2021/22, with the Red Devils pocketing £111million.
However, Spurs can expect their 2022/23 matchday figures to compete with the Manchester giants following their run in Europe.
