In The Money: Daniel Levy handed fresh £6.7bn Tottenham incentive as Premier League news emerges
Tottenham are well in the fight for the Champions League places this season, with the club just two points off fourth spot.
Ange Postecoglou’s outfit are, therefore, nowhere near any sort of relegation threat, and that doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
And while merely staying in the Premier League is not Daniel Levy’s aim, it is certainly a must after the latest news regarding the top flight.

As per the official Premier League website (4 December), the Premier League has completed the sales process for UK live rights & free-to-air highlights for the four-year period starting season 2025/26.
The three agreements, with Sky Sports, TNT Sports and BBC Sport, are the largest sports media rights deals ever concluded in the UK, and will deliver a total of £6.7billion in revenue across the four-year period.
The website added that the “broadcast renewals will provide financial certainty for clubs throughout professional football until at least 2029.”
Tottenham will, of course, be very keen to be a part of the competition until then, and indeed for a long period after that.

As per the official Premier League website [16 September 2016], the domestic revenue is split into three sections, with 50% divided equally between the clubs, 25% awarded on a merit basis determined by final league positions, and 25% distributed as a facilities fee for televised matches.
Final league positions will, of course, be the section that immediately jumps out to Tottenham supporters, with fans desperate to see their club end the season in as high a position as possible.
The latest TV deal should really incentivise Levy to reach for the stars in terms of league finishes, with Champions League revenue meanwhile a massive added bonus.
In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou has an ideal Harry Kane replacement under his nose, the player could save the club millions.
