In The Money: Daniel Levy closer to multi-million windfall after Everton update on Dele Alli
Daniel Levy and Tottenham have seen their chances of receiving up to £10million from Everton improve after Dele Alli returned to first-team training on Merseyside, as shared by the Daily Mail.
The newspaper shared on 14 December that Alli had returned to first-team training at the club’s Finch Farm training ground to take part in several drills and gym work.
In the deal agreed between Tottenham and Everton for the sale of Alli, it was agreed that £10million would be paid to Spurs after Alli makes 20 appearances for Everton. That milestone is edging closer after the latest fitness update.

Sean Dyche had previously confirmed [Daily Mail, 3 November] that Everton’s Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, was in discussions with Levy about possibly changing that price, and while nothing has been confirmed, it seems likely an agreement will be reached given the circumstances of the deal.
Most recently, The Times reported [9 December] that Everton had turned down Tottenham’s offer to reduce that fee to £8million in exchange for reducing the number of appearances to reach that boundary.
As things stand, Alli is seven games away from triggering that £10million agreement, and given his inclusion in first-team training, he is getting closer to a return to action which would see that tally reached in due course.
Dyche confirmed the midfielder still has some way to go before he can be considered for the first-team squad again due to the extended period injured as timeframe since his last competitive game and will be given a programme to get him back up to speed before his return.

This bonus, currently set at £10million but seemingly likely to drop below that fee, could be reinvested directly into Ange Postecoglou’s squad to bolster the depth of a squad that has come under question already this season.
With each passing development, Levy gets closer to gaining his additional transfer windfall agreed in the sale of Alli. Perhaps one that he would have expected to cash in on earlier given the length of time since the midfielder left Spurs, but one he will receive nonetheless.
In other Tottenham news, Levy could earn Tottenham millions with a new “masterplan”.
